Eggrolls My Friend, Break-ups as Art as Dinner
![]()
This show was held in March of 2009 at the Crossroads Theater in Denver 5-points. During the show I cooked and served eggrolls to be enjoyed while looking at the work. As the title suggests it was in response to a bit of sad.
Personally Impersonal
Held in the main gallery at The Other Side Arts in May of 2009 this show was up for one month. Speakers played out the audio mixes on one side of the gallery and viewers were asked to participate through sharing personal information about themselves in a book. A contrast of the impersonal physical nature of being from fingerprints, dental x-rays and inexpressive photos to the directly personal stories, scars, tattoos and histories that shape our lives.
Mapping Through Selective Memories: a self portrait through objects and others
A corner installation at The Other Side Arts up from August-October 2009 in this interactive piece viewers were given the option to read along each narrative matching the numbered frame or take the audio tour. Or both. The same options are given to you. A narration of my life stories through the objects I have saved and the memories attached to them.
